Manchester Ridge Coast Mountain Vineyards ground is principally composed of highly eroded sandstone. This layer extends to 60' +/- beneath the surface and is underlain by consolidated sandstone.
Mike Porter states: "The property is among the very best in the North Coast for vineyard ... what characterizes these world-class soils is a low overall content of magnesium, potassium, and sodium, good drainage and a high water holding capacity." |
